Imagine this. If you were the creator of all we see and you saw the people you created worshipping another person for your work, would it not anger you somewhat? Or, if you had created all things and the people you created started moving toward believing in some preposterous theory of evolution, would it not cause you to anger some? I believe if anyone encountered either one of those scenarios then they would be just in their anger. After all, you should get credit for the work you do.

That is just a simple imaginative scenario that everyone should think about when they question why God is a jealous God. He will not let his beautiful creation or the work involved in it be credited to someone or something else. He also created you with his awe inspiring love. This love is beyond the human capacity for understanding it fully. But we can understand why God wants all his creation to love him back.

God is, simply put, Awesome! Let us take time each day to do nothing but give him credit for all the magnificent things he does. Let us not fail in showing outward love toward God, for if you worship outwardly with your heart, you won’t be denying him in your heart. Keep yourself true and holy. Confess all your sin and seek forgiveness. Even if you don’t feel like you are forgiven, know this, that God’s Word is much stronger than any feeling you have and His Word is “You are forgiven.”
